RE: First Week of Law School
DATE: August 19, 2006

QUESTION PRESENTED

Is it entirely possible that I will never be able to unlearn the writing style they’ve taught me in the first week of law school? Will my fear that I will never be able to produce a love letter without bullet points and roman numerals one day come true?

FACTS

  1. I just finished my first week of law school, which was an orientation and the academic equivalent of baseball’s spring training.
  2. I am now a resident of Williamsburg, VA.
  3. Colonial Williamsburg (heretofore referred to as “CW”) is the world’s largest living history museum and in the 18th century, was home to several dozen bars and taverns.
  4. Today, CW has 4 bars and taverns. Total.

DISCUSSION

The aforementioned facts idubitably support that Pike’s mind has become completely rewired after one week of school.

The fact that CW has virtually no bars or taverns is irrelevant to the case at hand, as it appears that Pike will not have any time to do anything social (much less write blog posts that maybe 12 people read).

CONCLUSION

I think my frozen pizza is burning in the oven. I’ve gotta run.
